If you want to taste the best cheeses in Normandy you should visit Fromagerie de Livarot. The taste is amazing and experiencing the production is a great experience. We especially liked Pont l'Eveque and Camembert.

We took a tour and it was nice to get so much information. It is nice to see the various stages of cheese preparation. It is noteworthy to see what all precatution the staff takes to keep a high level of hygiene.

A nice self-tour explaining how the cheeses are made. Go in the morning if possible to see more activity. The tour takes about 45 minutes, more if you sample the products (you should).

Have you ever had cheese straight from the dairy? Neither had we. The cheese was fantastic. Unfortunately, the outside smelled as bad as the barn that kept the cows but it was worth it for the taste.
