As a confirmed Railway Anorak, I was delighted to visit and ride on this preserved railway. True, the passenger accommodation is not luxurious, and the journey was slow, but it was great fun and gave a real flavour of French rail travel in the days...More

A visit in late June. About an hour. It was fun from start to finish....fantastic views across the valley and the fun of chugging along the mountainside in the jerky way we oldsters have always loved. A couple of stops to enable fotos or a...More

Whilst staying in the Dordogne decided to visit the railway on a very hot Sunday as found out that the steam train was running and thought it would be something different to do on my husband's birthday. There is plenty of car parking both outside...More

Amazing Scenery! The publicity photos don’t do it justice: You are taken along the side of a rock face, in & out of tunnels. The 11€ fare represents real value for money. You need to check-out their web-site, if, like me, you wish to go...More

Probably exciting if you are a train anorak, but sitting in a glorified cattle wagon on dreadfully uncomfortable seats, on a 'steam train' being pulled by a diesel locomotive, looking at scenery that can be better viewed from some of the magnificent local chateaux is...More

Worth the trip. A very old, quaint town and amazing views from the train. Free toilets in the market square a real bonus!!

We took this trip as our 5 year old grandson loves trains but everyone in the family had a great time. The steam train pulls open carriages along the side of a cliff with terrific views across the countryside. The trip lasts about an hour...More
