If you want to see the Roman ruins - Pont du Gard, you can take the normal route which is to drive there and see the museum and the bridge. Or you can have an unforgettable experience of kayaking down the river, seeing the local...More
Being October and late in the season, some canoe businesses have stopped. We were pleased to find Canoe Collias was open for business. From reading TripAdvisor posts we were reasonably aware of what to expect. We rang the day prior to book and this was...More
After a disappointing experience with Kayak Vert on another river, we tried Canoe Collias. Different experience - helpful and friendly. Equipment in good shape and really fun afternoon for 9 of us (8,10,14,15,17 and 4 adults). Easy river; lots of places to stop (bring a...More
Read a lot of reviews from a lot of places and decided to book here. Bottom line: great experience and good fun for a family with a 6 and a 9 year old (both 2 swimming diplomas). BUT the price of 70 euros for one...More
Thank you to all at Canoe Collias for helping to make my 40th Birthday.
Advice on the river which was running fast, comfortable canoes and a quick pick up service. Of course the amazing view of Pont Du Gard is a highlight but this is...More
Highly recommended! What a superb group of people that work here! Everyone is super friendly and always helpful. They really seem to enjoy their work.
Kayaking is reasonably priced and makes for a great day out with the kids or a group of friends.
We arrived with no pre-booking as late as 3pm on a very hot day 38 degrees. Ourselves and our three kids 14, 12 and 11. Cost for 8km run for our 5 x single person kayaks was 87 euros including return lift back to starting...More
The employees were so nice! we were with a group of 8 people. We all rented single kayaks and took a leisurely time kayaking down the river. You can spend as much time as you want -- the company is very accommodating! You can stop...More
A fantastic way to travel to the Pont du Gard. Lovely waterway and a relaxing paddle.
Checking in was simple and a proper safely briefing was given. Owner and staff were friendly and helpful. Private parking was great and we were off down river 10...More
This is a bit challenging. The Kayak trip is not really designed to incorporate a visit to the Pont du Gard Site. There is nowhere secure to leave the Kayaks while you visit the site and if the boats disappear the cost... More
This is a bit challenging. The Kayak trip is not really designed to incorporate a visit to the Pont du Gard Site. There is nowhere secure to leave the Kayaks while you visit the site and if the boats disappear the cost would be your responsibility.
The pick up point for the Canoe Collias paddle is about one km beyond the Pont du Gard.
My suggestion is to do the kayak trip and if the water is flowing strongly three hours is certainly possible if you are reasonably fit. Then let Canoe Collias take you back to their base: pick up your car drive back to the Pont du Gard and visit the site where you could easily spend 2 hours.
You can leave the canoe and climb up to have a look but I am not sure if you have to pay to get on the aqueduct and also not sure how secure the canoe will be without your supervision. The canoe company did not mention the... More
You can leave the canoe and climb up to have a look but I am not sure if you have to pay to get on the aqueduct and also not sure how secure the canoe will be without your supervision. The canoe company did not mention the option to park up and have a look, so we did not do that on our trip.
