Valley Spur has it all: great trails, great grooming, a great warming house, reliable and abundant snowfall, and a setting in a beautiful hardwood forest. It is groomed for both skate and classic. The Heaven trail is great - an downhill trail that seems to...More

Nice warming house greets the skiier w/soup and bread sometimes! The trails are well groomed and beautiful wandering through woods. Definitely a winter destination for getting away from the crowds. Both beginner, med and advanced trails. Skating and striding.

Singles track was very fun. It's about 5 miles in length, but does not loop back around; therefore, the entire round trip is about 10 miles. The track is well groomed and doable for anybody in at least modern physical condition. We are not avid...More

My wife and I wanted to do a nice ride while camping at Otter Lake. We were standing in the parking lot deciding which trail to take when a really nice lady and her dog suggested a single track run that wasn't on the map....More

These ski trails have wonderful terrain, consistent grooming, and are located where they receive lots of great lake-effect snow. They have a beautiful warming cabin.

We decided to try out trail B after learning how to cross country ski only a few hours earlier. This trail was perfect for beginners! Not only were there plenty of flat areas for easy going, but there were several hills to try that weren't...More

We hiked and rode these trails on our Mountain Bikes 4 days in a row and it was absolutely beautiful! Do not miss! Intermediate riding, and easy hiking make this very family friendly and also great for any level of hikers.

The long loop was described as a "family friendly" ride that was mostly easy two-track roads. And some of it was....but it also took us onto several miles of "sugar sand" ATV trails that were virtually unrideable. The 13 miles that I thought would take...More

We love the Munising area and this year we wanted to catch the fall colors. I researched these trails, as much as I could read, before my husband and I came for a biking excursion. The Hiawatha National Forest website actually gave the best description...More
