About 6 km northeast of the town centre, the Lao Huay (Lenten) village of Ban Nam Dee (Good water) is a good place to observe the progress of bamboo papermaking. Behind the village you will see the entrance to the Nam Dee Waterfall. The area around...more

The falls are beautiful, and since you have to pay 4000 kip to get in, there was no one else there (the townspeople were bathing downstream). In the entrance area they provide information about the village of Nam Dee, the Lanten people (who are originally...More

Such a beautiful waterfall!! It’s a lovely walk to get there, past bright red hibiscus, dense jungle and hundreds of butterflies!!

The falls was ok, in the middle of the forest, nice and quiet as it was not as many people, i love the ride along the countryside area the most. the maintanance looked not as good enough so i was disappointed with the waste management.

We loved our visit to Nam Dee Waterfall. There is a little water bassin for swimming and we did the hike to the top of the waterfall. The hike is not recommended to people with a handicap or people who are not very fit or...More

Okay, the falls? Maybe 2 stars in the dry season (February) when there's basically no water -- more like wet rocks. Lol. Oops! We ended up walking around for a while bagging up trash that people had left from picnics. The park is nice, though...More

We cycled there; the road is really rocky and there is loads of nicer roads to cycle around Luang Namtha. It costs 10,000 kip for tourists and 5,000 kip for Lao people. It's not really that pretty compared to other waterfalls we have seen and...More

We rode our city bicycle there (take the mountain bike instead, the road is full of rocks). They tried to charge the bike even though we did not bring them inside. Then, they did not say anything about the fact that there was no water....More

I didn't like it at all. It's dirty, shady and in the dry season almost no water. You even have to pay 10.000 Kip for this waterfall

Do not expect a great waterfall nor great surroundings. The place is simple, they were doing some remodeling works so maybe they will make it more enjoyable with a couple of wooden bridges and a small platform. Nonetheless, the journey through the villages of different...More
