We starte our travel from Bhubaneswar to Puri and then from Puri to Konark. After a rather nirmal day in Puro, we decided to travel by local bus to Konark. Its around 1hr journey in a small bus. The fares are cheap. The more we travelled, the remote the destinatiom appeared. Travelling some 45 mins, passing by all the small... More

Located at an hour's drive from Puri, this is truly an architecture marvel. There is no diety inside. However, this is truly a masterpiece that one should not miss. Represents Indian architecture in its truly majestic form. Also good to negotiate a guide to get to know more details

Amazing historical site. But as many other sites, ill managed. Visit is a must because of its historical value. But parking is a big problem, as there is no proper place to park. You have to park anywhere on the roadside, and you are charged Rs.20 for that by the locals. But the crowd and the parking should not deter... More

I reach there with very little expectation-having heard of the terrible decay of the temples. The temples are a world heritage site and are listed as one of the seven wonders of India. It is heart breaking to see such exquisite sculptures going to such decay. The sea has played a villain here and the constant battering of the saltwater... More

Just 40 Km away from Puri, Odisha. Amazing place to explore the 13th-century monument. The way to the sun temple is mesmerizing and along the eastern coastline marine drive. There are many shops near the monument selling the handicraft stuff, one can buy to keep as a memento or gift for near ones. If you go on a sunny day... More

One of the best tourist attraction in Odisha. Architecturally beautiful, with intricate works. Well maintained. Take guide, if you want to know its historical importance. Take enough time to see this superb work of art.

Every inch of this ancient temple is awe-inspiring. Great picture-taking spot if you visit in the evening in diffused light. Avoid talking to the "guides" - they can be vengeful if you refuse their service. The shops along the walkway are reasonable and have a good collection.

A fine and marvelous work of architecture but is under threat of being ruined due to environment and pollution. Take note of the followings: 1. From Main Parking temple is at walking distance, Auto is not required. 2. Entry Ticket is Rs. 30 per head, no tickets till 15 Yrs. 3. Keep Google Handy may avoid The Guide. 4. NEVER... More
