This is not so much a rafting trip as a ride on slow moving waters on a bamboo chair on top of a bamboo raft. Guides will not speak unless paid by everyone on a particular raft. Only Chinese is spoken.

that one you should do it, if you will visit wuyi mountain. i recommend to take boat early morning. also no problem go with your childeren.
