We noticed immediately the inside looked clean and well maintained. Very educational with many exhibits on display. The center doesn’t roll any punches about how tribe members were mistreated by the light skinned people. Very truthful warts and all.

We enjoy visiting local museums this one was laid out well and had narration. Weather was crummy part of the time we were in Mt Pleasant glad it was as we got to visit the museum.

Very professional exhibits that try to communicate the culture and history of the Anishnabe tribes of the area. Not so large that you get overwhelmed. I recommend to anyone interested in Native American culture and history.

This is an excellent museum for learning the history of the native Americans of mid Michigan. From the beginning all the way to the present time. The only disappointing part is the appearance of the outside of the building. The landscaping definitely need some attention...More
