The area had experienced good rainfall, so whilst the attraction itself is sure to deliver great sightings, we, unfortunately were dealt a bad hand. Great for the animals, not so great for animal watching in this instance.

The location, floodlighting and seating is good. We sat here for 4 hours one night and saw nothing but the next morning we saw a herd of zebra. You just need to be lucky with the sightings

There are number of waterholes around the camp site, but during the wet months of Dec - March, we found driving around early morning and late afternoon provided the best chance of game viewing rather than waterholes. We saw four young lionesses early morning followed by a solitary lion near by - during the day time there were several herds... More

Perhaps because we visited in March and it has been raining, so the animals did not have to come to this waterhole. It was quiet and peaceful.

This lodge requires a full make-over. Even the more "luxurious" waterhole chalets are worn off and really small. Food was okay but one should rather go for one of the lodges outside the park.

After arriving at the end of a long day on the road I parked and settled in and headed to the waterhole with my camera to witness a spectacular sunset! I wasn't disappointed in the least! There were jackals, giraffe, rhino, zebra, and birds galore! After an hour or so I headed off to clean up and have dinner. It... More

The night we were there the spot light was non functional. Neither were any of the other lights around the camp with made things very interesting as there had been loads of rain and the camping site was made up of huge muddy pools of water. At least the chalet part of the camp is still beautiful by day even... More

The waterhole gets fantastic reviews as the best in Etosha NP and I'm sure it is at the right time of year. During the rainy season however the animals have no need to drink. On our first night we saw 4 Zebra,4 Springbok and 4 Impala. On the second night just one Zebra. We must have sat watching for at... More

Great fun watching the social antics of the iconic elephant. Dozens of ele's of all sizes playing in the waterhole to the great joy of many tourists. There are a lot of people visiting this water hole but it's well worth the visit.

Other water holes were more interesting perhaps as it had rained and water was available other than from this water hole. Only the giraffe were worth watching and the jackal gang in the morning. The night lights are not to my liking.
