Although the lighthouse wasn't open when we visited, this is a wonderful place to view Lake Michigan. The wind was fairly strong, the sand was blowing and we got to witness the wild beauty of the lake.

The beach around is clean but was quite populated at the time. The lighthouse is very ordinary with no exceptional views.

OK for a quick stop. Nice views, etc. It is by the water but there is really no beach and the water (in the height of August) was (maybe always is) freezing. Go anyway
