Not a huge museum but we enjoyed viewing the exhibits...nicely done & very informative. $7 adult/$6 senior admission is reasonable. Small gift shop inside but we didn't visit that.

Out-of-towners wanting to learn more about the area. This is a nice museum that has excellent exhibits about the UP. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time here and learned a lot.

Gorgeous building for events (wedding receptions, etc.). I've had several friends have their reception here. The exhibits are great too, always changing and always interesting.

Easily reached by walking from the downtown core of Marquette. Compact, with galleries that explain the history of the region, with an emphasis on the mining. It's a good idea to take a little time to visit this place.
