It is a small museum but has some good information on the history of ships on Lake Superior. Because of safety issues (relating to the condition of the lighthouse) the lighthouse tour DOES... More

Wish I could have visited the actual museum. Enough time to snap a photo then back on the road. Worth it though.

We visited this museum on a rainy day on our vacation. The reviews were good so we stopped for a look - it was really fascinating! The fresnel lenses were amazing! Lots of interesting local history!

A lot of great history in a small place! Extremely well done. A nice learning center for kids too. The weather was too wet for the lighthouse but we were perfectly content to spend out time in the museum. Decent gift shop too!
