Nice art exhibit

This was worth a stop after visiting Fort Mackinac....it was included in the admission price to the fort. Local scenes and artists were presented. The receptionist was friendly.

We got free admission to this by buying our ticket to the fort. It was a nice gallery but very small. It depicted scenes on the island in different types of art styles. The front stairs are very steep so it may be difficult to get up to the door for someone with limited mobility. It was a nice 30... More

Nicely done display of old maps and photographs in a building that used to be a dormitory for Native American students.

Mostly Michigan artists, but very good. I think it just opened this year or perhaps last year. If you go around the back there is a handicap ramp and there is an elevator if you can't climb steps.

Very nice way to fill some time on the island. We visit the island every year, and have never taken the time to walk through. We did this past visit, and really enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed seeing art from several centuries depicting life in Mackinac Island. There are beautiful old world maps, hand drawn images of life in the fort, old photographs of last century events, as well as notable more recent works. Admission is free if you have visited the fort.

An old Native American dormitory for those serving at the fort, in the past. Now it has Native American art, photographs, water colors, and a small gift area. We were able to see it free with our purchase of tickets to the fort.

Some of our girls are very interested in art, so that made this a must see on our trip. The art was nice to look at as it gave us a good reason to go at a slow pace. I'm not into art as much, but I just enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and watching the girls check everything out. Our... More
