Our first visit to the Big Sable Lighthouse was a memorable one. We rented bikes at the campground to ride out to the Lighthouse. It took some effort as the day was windy and sand covered much of the path - but all part of...More

We enjoyed a walk on the beach and a visit to this lighthouse and even though the temperature was in the 40’s, the beautiful clear blue sky was a perfect backdrop for this well kept building

Visited the lighthouse with my husband, nephew, and niece-in-law. We were camping at the campground and the lighthouse was one of the reasons for our visit. We decided to walk the about 2 mile walk despite cold and rainy weather of the very end of...More

This Lighthouse is classic. A friend of mine was volunteering here and wanted to surprise him. We did, and took him to dinner. ("Timbers of Ludington", review coming.) You must walk to this attraction, 1.6 miles, one way. It's a very easy walk. The trailhead...More

A fun family trip to explore and beautiful views of Lake Michigan. The family climbed to the top together. It was a great walk to the lighthouse and then more exercise up the lighthouse. Our three year old was a trooper in the whole adventure.

A lot of history surrounds this lighthouse. Docents inside were very knowledgeable and friendly. There's a cute little giftshop inside, and the $5 trip to the top was well worth it.

Enjoyed the beautiful landscape and water surroundings of the area. There was certainly no “wow” factor, but instead provided, for me, quiet reflections on a by-gone era. The black and white Tower is located on the shores of Lake Michigan in Ludington State Park.

What a very nice lighthouse. The volunteers are top-shelf. Even climbing up the 130 steps was excellent because the view from up top is spectacular!
