Really awesome place, close to Lansing, to just get away into nature, or near the river. Also can see wildlife here.

I have been going to Woldumar for several years and it is really one of the best kept secrets in the Lansing Area. The trails will take you through an amazing prairie; into a pine forest; through wonderful old hardwoods forests; over bridges to lagoons and then shores of the Grand River. Photo opportunities are boundless. In one walk, I... More

If you like the outdoors and walking in the woods, this is one of the few good places to go to in the Lansing area. A great place to walk your dog or just enjoy a walk in the woods. (please pick up your dog poop) There is also meadow there, a good size "frog pond" and some of the... More

As part of my son's science class, we did a field trip with all three 3rd grade classes. The staff put on a great program, which started with a discussion on what animals you would find in the wild (focusing on Michigan habitat as well), and the examination of Skelton system. After an engaged lovely division, the staff then took... More

We visit Woldumar several times per year it is a beautiful area. It gives you a place to hike and enjoy nature while learning a bit about the environment. There is a yearly Maple Syrup fest that is OK, but everything is very expensive and there is not a lot of activities for younger children. There is also a Winter... More

A great place to go to walk in the woods and along a river to get outdoors and some excercise. Have a little nature center but not much in there. They do have children groups come in occassionally to learn of nature.

We come to Woldumar each year as part of our church's vacation bible school, but they actually prefer the part of the day when they are with the Woldumar staff. Somehow they attract really dedicated, intelligent, caring people to work at the nature center, and that makes every visit pretty wonderful. We have also enjoyed some of the special historically... Visited Woldumar with my wife. The girl at the welcome center was very kind and helpful. We walked and sat to enjoy the beauty and enjoy the the birds singing. A woodchuck came within 10 feet of us while we were sitting. A female turkey with 6 young ones following here crossed our path. We gave them the right of... More
