If you love history and are into cars, then this is the place for you! Even if you don't get excited about cars, I guarantee you will find something here to make you smile! It traces the modern vehicles from beginning to current day with some surprises along the way. Great day activity for kids or adults...

The museum has a great cross sample of Olds and REO products. It's surprising how many cars are in what appears to be a small space. I also enjoyed the collection of engines across time, from early gas powered steam to recent performance engines. I'm not a gear head, and a car guy our gal would enjoy this.

This museum is a must see when you visit our capitol city! The best history of local car companies. If you want to see excellent examples of classic cars from our area this is the place to be! They also have locally made lawn mowers, one lunger small engines ,inventions that have made it world wide!

Hidden treasure of oldsmobiles in Lansing. Making it more visible to the public would increase attendance.

Beautiful cars in abundance. A great trip down memory lane for some cars, for other cars a good lesson in history. A helpful staff as a bonus!

Made a special point on our road trip to visit the Olds museum, so glad I did, it was excellent! We learned a lot about automotive pioneer Ransom Eli Olds, and his two different companies, Oldsmobile and REO. Between the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant in Detroit, and the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum in Lansing, I learned so much more about... More

These guys come from the work force of the old Oldsmobile plant in Lansing. There is a very good range of displays, including significant pieces off the lines. Lots of explanation over the development of the hydramatic transmissions, the first air conditioning, the suspension systems, and on and on. And of course there are beautifully restored examples from all the... More

I have never been to a car museum and didn't know all that much about Oldsmobiles but really enjoyed this museum and its great display of vintage and modern Olds. I also really like the way the museum had a lot of information about the man behind the company -- R E Olds -- and his family.

This is a great little museum packed with lots of information and automobile history, including many old cars. We have visited this museum a handful of times and love to bring the grandparents with us, as they tell great stories about the cars "in their days". This is a nice family activity.

Spent over an hour here walking around the exhibit. They have a great collection of cars and car history, obviously with a focus on RE Olds. It's not a huge museum, but bigger than I expected, and we were able to have a really good time.
