Great small town zoo. Coming from NYC I can't compare to our larger zoo but the initiate feel, great hands on small animal area and train were highlights.

I've visited Potter Park Zoo many times over the years, as my in-laws live in Lansing. Potter Park puts on a great Halloween event and Christmas light display. The Halloween event is nicely decorated and has a mini Haunted Tunnel. Very cool. Although the Xmas...More

Potter's park zoo may be small compared to big city zoos but it is inexpensive and easy to do in an afternoon. Great for small children who get tired easily.

My boys loved this place, it had many animals for them to enjoy but was not too big that they complained of walking too much.

The high point of the zoo is the recently added moose exhibit. It is a large, scenic enclosure; unfortunately, the moose tends to stay in his barn when the temperature is above 60-70^F, so we didn't get a good look. The black rhinos were also...More

Various animals with better than nice enclosures. Places to sit and rest as you wander around the paved and nicely shaded park. Clean restrooms and snack area. I've been to bigger parks with less animals for the same price.
