Great place to go stand up paddling! No motorized boats allowed so awesome for sup and kayaking. Boat launch has a canoe/kayak lane. Pet friendly beach as long as a leash no longer than 6 ft is used, so watch for dog poop - looks like not many people clean up after their animals which is a shame because it's... More

Although not one of my favorite state parks, this is a really nice SP for the middle of the lower peninsula. Lots of trails. Because I was there early on a cold March morning, I didn't see anyone else, but saw signs for biker traffic, horse traffic and disc golf traffic. So I imagine the trails get a lot of... More

We arrived right at sunset and only stayed one night. The campground was quiet but appeared to have just been overrun by lots of weekend visitors. There was a lot of garbage by the dumpsters. The three dumpsters were full and there was an equal amount of trash on the ground. Not a great first impression. The campsites were nice... More

Sleepy Hollow State Park is a beautiful park to visit. Boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, bird watching, hunting, you name it. If you can do it in a state park, this is the park to see. It comes alive at night, with fire flies and frogs. Great place for everyone!

I only live a few miles from here and this summer was the first time I visited the park. Took my grandkids there a few times and they loved it and so did I. Nice place to have fun and also camp

This is definitely my favorite state park as of now and we will be back many times. There was a beach for swimming and a dog beach. It was 90 when we were there and our dogs loved the beach. We did alot of walking and biking the trails, rented a canoe and fished. We were there 4 days and... More

Wonderful campground. Nice mostly private campsites. Very clean showers and bathrooms, especially on a busy weekend. Feels like the middle of nowhere. Nice beach and reasonable kayak rental prices. Will be returning soon.

Lots of trails for hiking. Very clean park when we were there, with very little in the way of bugs, but it had been pretty dry and cool just before we arrived. Park attendants very friendly and helpful. Sites pretty private. We have a 23.5 foot trailer and it was a bit tight. Most sites paved. Long electrical runs, bring... More

I live in Lansing and love going to Sleepy Hollow whenever I can. It's about a half hour yet feels so much further away. I absolutely love hiking here, you go through woods and past beautiful lakes and ponds. If you are into Geocaching, this is an awesome place to do it with lots of caches (including one of the...
