Our family was in Kalamazoo with my husband on business, so I took my kids (ages 3-11) here while he was at work. What a delight! We ended up coming back again the next day! We all loved the exhibits. The museum definitely didn't feel cheap, even though its free admission. Fun!

I took my two five year olds to see the Lego exhibit. We came for the Legos, but they both had such a great time exploring other exhibits as well that we spent the least amount of time looking at Legos. Our day was filled with hands on weather, music, learning and a mummy! Great time spent for no money.... More

As visitors to Kalamazoo, our teenage Girl Scout troop enjoyed a few hours learning about the history of the city at the museum. We also enjoyed its close proximity to restaurants and the park so we could walk everywhere.

Went on a rainy day with kids ages 7 and 9, as well as grandparents. There was something fun for everyone. Grandparents loved all the historical artifacts and nostalgia; kids loved the play diner, newsroom, and all the hands on exhibits on the second floor. Museum was clean and well kept, and the staff was very friendly.

Nice little museum to kill some time with young kids. Nice exhibits, some special programs time to time, and some interactive stuff.

Specially went to 3:00 planetarium show. Of "Dinosaurs at Dusk" - paid to see it. Trouble from the start as operator couldn't get it going. Very poor quality. Fuzzy images and 1/4 through it a portion of the screen went spastic and was strobing until the end. No refunds were offered.

The Kalamazoo Valley Museum is ultramodern in every way, from the new buildings housing the museum to the progressive staff members designing the exhibits. Most of the Museum's displays are interactive and are designed to be readily accessible by visitors of all ages. The Museum's superb planetarium is among the most technologically advanced in the midwestern United States and features... More

Great place to learn about Kalamazoo history. More there than I thought there would be. The science area has lots of interactive things for kids to place with. Great place to teach the little ones something new while learning about the area.

The Kalamazoo Valley Museum in downtown Kalamazoo, MI is a gem for travelers in Southwestern Michigan. It has 3 floors which cover a lot of Kazoo history but also many other interesting topics. On the 3rd floor there will be a traveling display for children (how a tornado forms, things to do with legos, forms of medicines used in our... More
