A visit to Nelis' Dutch Village is like a step back into the Netherlands of over 100 years ago on a day when a festival came to town. Demonstrations and performances; tastes, sight and sounds; and something to interest all ages. Unique shopping too.

Most people bring their kids here, but for my family it was a group of 6 adults and no kids. Be sure to pick up a schedule of events & demonstrations on the way in. Don't miss the Dutch dancers & the street organ! We spent several hours here (including lunch at the Hungry Dutchman - try the pigs in... More

This old village is fantastic. It portrays life like it was in Old Country. Good shade, The area around it is also great. Wooden shoe factory, dutch dancing, It is also close to Lake Michigan so you can see quite a lot. Nice resturants. I recommend the Boat Werks. It is an old boat building that sits right on the... Dutch theme park. Little boring, but nice way to kill a couple hours. Best for the very young or very old. Petting zoo is nice for young, along with a couple small rides. Best part is the Dutch Dancers and the gift shops. Fun to watch the candle making. Seniors seem to like the Village a lot. I feel the... More

We were here for a charity event and totally enjoyed the park. I found that the village was very informative about the Dutch history. I rode the Ferris wheel which was fun, they have several other rides which I wasn't able to ride do to time constraints.

We went to this on a Tuesday afternoon about 3:00 and it was almost all closed up. There was one retail shop open where they sold wooden shoes and tulip bulbs and such. That was a nice store.

Was crowded during Tulip Festival, staff seemed to be tired and tired of tourists. Food was good and it seemed you had to smile a lot to get one back. Glad we went.

We had a really nice time here. They have very good tours of all the old Dutch shops. There was nothing bad about it except for the way they did the Ferris Wheel rides.

We visited on a Monday in September. Apparently this place is only open on weekends in the fall. It looked cute but the only thing open was the gift shop. The candle shop was cool - the people working were very informative & gave a great demo & lots of information.

Thank Angela O
