The Gilmore Car Museum is the place to visit if you love cars or history. While the displays are mostly cars, they also include a few surprises, like clothes from the days when cars were just becoming popular, a restored gas station, and a huge collection of hood ornaments - which I didn't expect to interest me, but which fascinated... I took a 14 year old boy with me to the Antique Tractor show June 25th. We were able to find a picnic table in the shade and have the 1pm parade form right in front of us. Afterward, we viewed the car barns. Most of the buildings were air conditioned. A round about way of saying we did not... More

This was an amazing place to visit! We loved seeing all the older cars and trucks. We missed the building with all the motorcycles in it, but we will be back here again to see that as well. They have an old diner where you can get lunch also. This place was much larger than I expected it to be.... More

This place is well worth seeing, even if you don't care about cars! There are buildings and buildings and buildings of fascinating automobiles that tell the story of American transportation. Plan to spend an afternoon, if not longer.

What a great museum, a great collection of old cars, hood ornaments and even toy cars and a couple of movie sets. We will definitely come back here when we're in the Kalamazoo area again.

My first visit, but not my last, was a special occasion to see the Vintage Motorcycle Day that was held on the grounds to the Gilmore collection! The grounds were lovely to support the outdoor event! The motorcycles and people were great fun to view. Our admission for the day included entry to all of the auto collections! The displays... More

This place is great. You can easily go through in about 3-4 hours and see some great cars. Our favorite was the Model A building. Made to look like a dealership/garage with era fashions throughout. Entire families will enjoy this place.
