We’ve been going here since I was a child, back when they still aloud you to go up in the lighthouse and walk on the outside. Sturgeon is still one of my favorite places to go and relax at, the volunteers are very friendly and...More

We are on our 1st family trip to Michigan. We went on a day trip yesterday and this was one stop. The area is beautiful, like a post card. We would have purchased a post card or something but the gift shop was closed. We...More

The Sturgeon Point Lighthouse was a nice little stop on our sunrise side road trip. I have visited numerous lighthouses and this one was nice, but not as good as others. I was a little disappointed you could climb to the top of the tower....More

We have stopped here for another lighthouse stop on the Lake of Huron. The lighthouse is right on the beach of the sturgeon point. Nice to walk around on the beach around the lighthouse.

We used to live in the area and stopped in to relive some memories. Got in late, so we were the only ones there. Worth it if you're on a Great Lakes lighthouse tour.

I have family in the area and took 2 boys (age 8&9) here for a walk to take some photos and walk along the beach and visit the lighthouse. We parked at the beach just outside the dirt road leading to lighthouse so we could...More

I have visited this light house a couple of times and each time has been awesome. Hear different stories each time. Absolutely love the antique items around the grounds. The beach is beautiful and I have found some wonderful petosky stones there.

Nice lighthouse overlooking Lake Huron. There are picnic grounds, a couple of old wooden boats and the rudders of several wooden ships. The lighthouse is well preserved.

Same design as Tawas Point Lighthouse to the south, but definitely not as picturesque. Too much white paint, I think. And looks a little shabby, as do the unimproved grounds. But still worth visiting if you’re doing a lighthouse tour. And if you’re lucky you...More

The tower was open only certain times. Unfortunately, it wasn't open when we were there. They do have a closed circuit tv that shows you what you would see from the top. As for the cost, I don't think it was much.
