Harrisville State Park and Campground has always been a beautiful place to camp or picnic. Now it has cabins and bicycles to rent and newer bathroom/shower facilities. One of our favorite places to spend a week or a weekend, spring, summer or fall. It is...More

We picked up subway and headed into the park. $9 day pass was needed. We found the beach area that also has a picnic area. The kids played in the water, but we had our 2 labs with us also so we couldn't take them...More

Even though it is on a major road, the state park itself goes back into the forest and you forget how close you are to town - which is easily accessible by foot or bike on a paved trail right from the campground. The staff...More

Try reserving way in advance for this one. There are great sites just steps from the water but those go quick. The beach is great, sites are spacious - depending on where you choose. The bathroom/shower facilities were the best in a state park I've...More

Camping sites are spacious and well separated by foliage and trees. The bathroom is brand, brand new, modern and beautiful. A bigger dump/ water station would be nice, but the one here is adequate. The beach though is fabulous and rivals anything on the Lake...More

We love this park and the beach, but can't fathom how they sized the bath house. It is brand new and beautiful, but so small to accommodate the park. Granted, there are pit toilets around, but seriously ONE urinal in the men's bathroom in a...More

Every camp site is well-equipped and manicured. This is one of the safest and most family-friendly parks in the state. Showers are great (clean). Beach front is exceptional. We have two dogs. They were welcome and enjoyed plenty of areas that permitted dogs (special strip...More

Visited daily for 5 days, mainly for the beach. Park is clean, beach is typical Lake Huron, some small rocks and lots of sand. Gentle slope allows you to wade pretty far before it gets too deep. They even have a handicap mat to allow...More

The park has improved the picnic areas. The picnic area is near the beach on Lake Huron. Lots of sand, but also rocks near the shore line.
