There are many lighthouses in Michigan and we've seen and enjoyed most of them. She thinks this one is just a tad above some of the others and probably due to the fine presentation of the volunteer. He had been there many years and knew the place inside and out...plus we were by ourselves with him so got extra personal... More

My best friend & I decided to have a little get away ladies weekend. Her only request was she wanted to be by water, well what better place than the UP where we got to see 3 of the great lakes all in 3 days. We originally tried to go the the shipwreck museum in Paradise, MI, but it was... More

The coolest thing I can tell you about this lighthouse is they let you actually climb to the top of the lighthouse. The lighthouse can be easily accessed on well marked roads east of Manistique, Michigan. The signs actually say"turn here". Everything is nicely restored. Admission is $5. Suel Choix in French means only choice. Phonetically it's pronounced Suel (sis)... More

What a great find. We were travelling down Hwy 2 when we saw the sign to "turn here" for a historic lighthouse. It was about 8 miles off the highway. The last 4 miles are gravel road. But the drive is worth it. Great lighthouse to explore. You can go up to the top which offers a fantastic view. The... More

Beautiful Lighthouse on Lake Michigan on a quiet, outcropping. Worth seeing these beautiful structures that really are the essence of the Great Lakes. You'll take quite a few pictures.

This lighthouse actually has Victorian features to it. It is a beautiful lighthouse and surroundings. The people were very friendly and yes you do go down a dirt road but it was in good shape. We did not view the inside because we were traveling and didn't really have the time. But would come back again to do so.

went to this lighthouse as it is not far off the main highway 2 in Gulliver, which is a small village. actually, the road to this is site, turns into a dirt road for a few miles winding to the lighthouse and if its a rainy day, one can imagine it may be a washboard but this an old picturesque... One of the prettiest lighthouses we've seen lately. Certainly much lovelier than the Grand Marais metal structure. We got there too late to tour the museum but it's worth an 8 mile trip off US-2 to see a piece of Lake Michigan history.

The Seul Point Lighthouse (Only Choice) is well worth the 8 mile drive off US2 in Gulliver, Mi. Follow the signs. There is a $5.00 fee to tour the light keepers' house and climb up the lighthouse. The house is furnished with items from the area to show how the families lived. Ask one of the guides about Mr. Townsend,... More

said to be the most haunted lighthouse in Michigan, this lighthouse has so many stories to tell. Lovingly restored by the local historical society, its members are available to tell you the stories. Be sure to visit the beach and each small building. Fascinating history can be found in each one. The climb to the top is a must, but... More
