We play here all the time with friends and their kids. The disc golf courses, one level and one jolly are great for the entire family. We took a child as young as 5 to play a round. They change the locations of the baskets one the lower level course which makes it totally different!!! They take care of it... More

What a beautiful spot for a wedding! The history of the hills was told to us by the awesome caregiver Wendy. The hills lit up at night were a beautiful site. The police also came to check that everything was going well. Would love to go back in the winter and try skiing there!

I went to Hanson hills for a hike, it was a beautiful day and I saw very few people which none of them were hiking, they were fishing. So I had the trails all to myself.

Love the trails here and the grooming and track setting are first rate. I was disappointed however on January 27th. I like to classic ski, but at 11 a.m. no tracks were set. When I went back out at 1 p.m. only certain trails were tracked and unfortunately it wasn't the trail I selected. Since I come up from Cleveland,... More

Hanson Hills Recreation area is truly a hidden gem for those seeking a day of winter fun. The snow tubing hill is a blast and the attendants so kind and helpful. The cross country trails are well maintained and expansive enough to provide the solitude that most XC skiers seek. Downhill skiing and snowboarding is also available. They offer rentals... More

We come in the winter for downhill skiing and snowshoeing, and throughout the summer months for disc golf. I'm not a world class skier so there are enough runs to keep me busy for an afternoon. Nothing too challenging, but plenty of fun. The disc golf course is well taken care of and challenging in its own right. A little... More

Some of the finest cross-country skiing in Michigan's lower peninsula, with a good selection of trails through rolling hills, wide and groomed for both skate and classic technique. The groomers always do a very good job, daily if needed and weather permitting. Overall not so many people frequent the trails and wildlife sightings are common. Skiers of all levels will... More
