When I read about this museum, I thought they were trying to do a little bit of everything which usually means that they do nothing well. I was pleasantly surprised. It is organized in alphabetical displays so D is for Dolls and that doll section is truly charming. Each display had some unique little item of interest. Outside of those... More

Went for the whale exhibit. But also watched many planitariam shows here in their state of the art shows. Overall a nice museum but in my opion it lacks any through quality dispay in which they once had with the impressive furniture exhibit.

We got here late and didn't have much time to explore but it was really cool. My nephew who is 4 loved it. The old grand rapids section was really cool. Lots of interesting things for all ages.

I was far more impressed with this museum than I expected to be. The museum is set up with a loose them of "A - Z" with each letter getting a display. So "M" is musical instruments and "Z" is zoology. What I liked so much about the museum is how it managed to convey information and the way it... More

Had a cold day for spring break and decided to check out. The kids had a great time and lots of stuff and things to look and read about. Also lots of great exhibits and history lessons.

Give yourself lots of time to really enjoy everything they have to offer. Loved the whale section although the sound machine that gives you samples of each didn't work well and needs some repair. Wonderful collections and such an awesome variety, really something for everyone! Well worth the stop if you are near. All ages will enjoy

We went on a weekend that had a special event downstairs ( The river city water festival) with vendors set up for water conservation and had information on recycling and keeping the earth clean. They had games and prizes for the kids. We had alot of fun with all of that before we even went into the exhibits. The zoo... More

To tell you the truth, I never entered the museum. I have rated it at 3 because on this particular day, and 2 other times I visited here, the lines to enter were to long for me to wait. I'm sure it is a great museum, but as I said, when you have 40-50 people waiting to enter on a... More
