This outdoor space is in the center of the city. It is a gathering point for GR and is the ice skating rink in the winter. It is getting a makeover and should be an updated green space when completed. It was a nice place so I imagine the makeover should be an improvement.

Attended the African Festival of Arts and Music in September, 2022. I found the Rosa Park Circle a nice venue. Clean, easy to navigate and great accessibility to bathrooms inside of a building. We are attending the same event this September, 2024. I will update after that.
My only issue is the limited parking spaces. If able take public transportation to this event, IMO.

Excellent place especially on a calm cool night to go ice skating in the park, skate rentals and grab bars to use for the beginners, went whene the hockey team showed up to entertain the kids and it was a great night, kuddos to Grand Rapids.

This geographical hub of GR is the hub of activity, be it cultural presentations, protests, or ice skating. Naw, it's not DeVos Hall; come as you are and all are welcome.

How many people have been beaten or shot here by local youth run amok? Pity considering the GRPD HQ is just up the street/mall.

Our girls love ice skating here, especially at night when it is all lit up. Be aware, that weekend evenings get quite busy, so you may have to wait in line for a while for skates to become available. Its $3 for adults and $1 for kids. Which includes your skate rental! They offer the ice guides on a first come first serve basis. So if you or your little one needs help holding themselves up, I recommend arriving early!

This outdoor space is used for events throughout the year. There is presence of homeless people here and at the Gerald Ford Museum. The most important aspect is the beautiful Rosa Park Statue.

Rosa would not be proud of all the homeless laying all over the place, we didn’t feel safe here at all. Garbage and a urine smell is very common.

Great outdoor entertainment in the middle of the city! Multigenerational winter fun. The ice was great and social distancing was evident.

It was a nice gathering place for a little entertainment and people watching after a lot of walking. As a nice central place recommended drop-in.
