We visited near the end of the day so selection was minimal. There were still deals to be had though, with some vendors shouting out sales giving it a lively atmosphere.

We were visiting Detroit for the weekend, in early February. The friend we were meeting suggested we start the day at Eastern Market. Great suggestion! Although the Market is clearly busier in summer (on this very cold winter day, only the indoor shed was open),...More

From Devries to Rocky peanut and all of the other stores, it is great. Even on weekedays there is something to do and on the weekends it is like a food network festival.

We took our family here while they were home for Christmas. We all had a great time. In fact we ran out of time to get to the surrounding stores.

Fresh produce, local growers, local bakers, local butchers— love the selection, love the variety. Need fresh brussel sprouts? Got ‘em. Need chicken beaks? Sure. Fresh ground coffee? Yep. Spices, baking ingredients, it’s all there. So much fun!
