I was really surprised at the variety of products that were available in March. I liked the meat market within the market. Prices were good and got better as the day went on, we will definitely shop this summer closer to closing time, venders want to get rid of there products. I will definitely be back this summer.

I've been living in Eastern Market for two years and we go nearly every Saturday to pick up local produce, flowers, homemade treats and so much more. Go towards the end of the day for better deals (and maybe less of a crowd), but expect less of a selection. Parking can be a hassle, but don't be shy about walking... More

We go to the Eastern Market at least 30 times a year. Parking can be tricky but Tree the free parking structure first. The area is safe. There is a wide variety of vendors and at least 3 yummy food trucks. There are great local restaurants surrounding the market too.

We finally made good on our promise to visit Eastern Market. I figured we would pick up some vegetables and fruit for the week and be done. Well, that didn't happen. We spent a fun 2 1/2 hours walking in the sheds that housed not only fruits and vegetables but eggs, cheese, meat, baked goods, soap, jewelry, tee shirts, flowers,... More

They are open even in winter! Large selection of produce & organic produce. Also you will find jams, honey, plants / herbs, flowers, etc. When it's fully open in summer there's more items.

Go early on Saturday around 8 a.m get there before 11 a.m or you will have a hard time parking and getting around. Walk around to all the fruit and examine it first and check prices..I did that and went back to the best deal...Nice Arab Man in Main Shed had great cherries....there is a meat market across the bridge... If you can, try to arrive a little earlier on Saturday. This is a very popular spot and, even though it sprawls over several sheds and breezeways, it can be difficult to navigate the crowds. But it is definitely worth it! It's fun to peruse the local produce, great locally roasted coffees, delicious baked goods, and other fun Detroit products.... More

Every time I go to Detroit I make a stop by the eastern market. It's just a nice place to hang out for the day with the family!
