This on Belle Isle. Nice view of the river and Canada. Great for kids as there are interactive items in the museum. It is free, just asks for donations. This is true of everything on the isle.

Wonderful display of real artifacts and detailed descriptions of historical events. The museum includes the insides of a real ship and the layout flows nicely.
