This building is absolutely gorgeous! A great example of Art Deco Architecture in Detroit. Definitely worth a stop.

The Fisher & Guardian Buildings alone make a trip to Detroit worthwhile. Don't miss them!! The lobbies of both are incredible. I was so awed I forgot to take pictures! I wish someone would publish a great book about the Fisher Building (there is one for the Guardian from Wayne University Press). There is plenty of beauty to see in this great American city!

I never tire to enter this beautiful building. As a child of 5, I remember coming to see the allergist every Saturday here, for a year of so, and loved the gleaming elevators and mosaics. Now, my husband and I have season tickets to the theater here and still enjoy the details of this beautiful building every time we enter it. It was worth a visit since nothing built today has this kind of detail or style.

Beautiful old building in downtown Detroit. Parking is very expensive, we just hoped out, took a quick picture and left.

Yet another beautiful Detroit building lobby. Take a few minutes after or before the Motown museum and hop over a few blocks to see this one. Definitely worth a look.

We got to see a multi-faceted a great dance/music/film collective that made great use of the small but intimate space. The audio/video system worked well with the live performances that were mixed with recorded audio, and while smaller than the larger spaces, the room was not stuffy. Staff was helpful and friendly in guiding us to where we needed to be as well. It’s an old theatre but still is very nice.

I took my son in-law from France to see this building and we all thought it was gorgeous. If in Detroit, I highly recommend seeing it. The paintings on the walls are amazing!

Beautiful building with an amazing view of the city! The weather was perfect and not cloudy at all! Inside the building, you can find a restaurant and the architecture is gorgeous.

We have been there to see numerous musicals and plays. Lovely setting and acoustics, good sight lines. The seats are what you would expect for an old theater— narrow, cramped, and not a lot of leg room (a consternation for my 6’5” husband)

A nice place to go if you have time. Not as much to see as Guardian building. Great ceiling architecture and marble columns. No photos allowed on the upper floors.
