It is an interesting middle of the river island that I think would make a great place for a bike ride in the right weather conditions. Nice views of both the Detroit and Windsor river fronts. You might see a few boats too.
Detroit is the only city to own an Island as a park. If you come to the city it's a great place to just sit by the water, bike, run, jog, boat, canoe etc. Bring the bbq grill and I chair and your good.
I am so happy we were able to make it to Belle Isle on our visit. It was absolutely beautiful. I'd love to visit again when it's a bit warmer and everything is in bloom.

The Arboretum full of tropical plants is a beautiful place to walk thru. The water fountain makes a great backdrop for taking pictures. The drive around the park has some beautiful views. Kids enjoy the aquarium.
