There riverfront has changed a lot over the past five years. There are much more recreational equipment for kids, fountains, and even concessions. It is one of the more happening places when it warms up and it is beginning to elevate neighborhoods to the east...More

Definitely an experience to have when in Detroit. Our mistake was thinking we could take a nice bike ride along the riverfront trail. Not! Too busy and crazy on a Saturday night trying to avoid running into someone. Although with a different focus it would...More

I am surprised how lovely this trail has become over the years. Visited it many years ago and just recently. The trail was always nice but it has improved dramatically. Lovely stroll along the water.

Really relaxing and worth coming out too. It is great for conversation starters, exercise meets or just enjoying the view. It's well maintained and a great part of Detroit.

Recently spent a Sunday afternoon walking along the water watching the boats big and small pass. A bright spot in a city that is looking better each year! Go Detroit !

I loved the Detroit Riverfront. It is literally a 5 minute boat ride from Canada. It has a great mural of the Underground Railroad experience and also a nice cruise boat for cruises. It's also steps away from Hart Plaza.

The downtown & riverfront area have undergone an amazing transformation. Having only visited downtown for literally minutes before, we were pleasantly surprised. Yes there were a few street people but you did feel safe and there were tons of activities going on, everywhere.

You can. If you're walking take Lafayette east across the freeway to the Dequindre cut and walk to the River. It's probably a mile. If you're driving, use the Renaissance center (tall five pillared glass buildiing) as your... More
