The best thing about Joe Louis arena is the history and nostalgia. Detroit is Hockeytown for a reason. The product on the ice has been excellent for 25 to 30 years. That was reason enough to go to the Joe. Whether it's for the Red...More

Not a bad seat in the house. Beautiful stairs leading to the building. Red wings games & concerts are always a blast. I'm sure going to miss this place.

Great memories at the Joe! Many Red wings games - was on the ice to skate once and also was a Score-O winner!

My daughter and I traveled to Detroit just to see a game before The Joe closed. What an awesome experience. It was amazing to see all of the championship banners, all the paintings on the walls, the wings on the floor. The energy was amazing,...More

The Joe was and will always be one of the greatest venues to see a hockey game at. It was rich with history and the building showed it. It might have been extremely old but more than enough happened in it to make it legendary....More

It's the end of an era with the closing of Joe Louis Arena. I hope Little Caesar Arena pays close attention and brings the same type of atmosphere we experienced at The Joe. Our final visit was a concert in March. Easy in and out....More

Flew 30hrs to see this place and it did not disappoint one bit. Not that it matters now but there is no bad seat in the house to watch hockey games and I hope that they bring that to little Caesars arena

Anywhere but the top rows is usually a good area to sit. It's a smallish arena.

Heading to Red Wings Game on New Years Eve. Coming from Windsor....we are looking for parking suggestions and restaurant ideas. Life-long Red Wing fan, have never seen them play at home, only away. Pretty psyched! A GREAT gift from my wife for Christmas!! Any input appreciated! Thanks

Easiest parking is at the ramp, but it is definitely not the cheapest! Are you spending the night if so many of the nicer hotels offer shuttle service. As far as where to eat, that depends on what you like as well as how... More

New Year's Eve will be our first time visiting the Joe. My daughter and I are big fans of the Redwings! What is the best website to find out information about what we can expect to find at the Joe? Parking costs, history, fan shops, food vendors etc. How early can we get into the stadium on New Year's Eve? What are we allowed to bring in with us to the game? Can I bring my purse and cell phone? Anything special going on New Year's Eve that we should plan on? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I would not bring a purse. They were rumors people were being turned away if they had a purse. I hid my small purse under my jacket. Only purse I saw was clear plastic.
