Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I virtually lived there between Spring 1980 and Autumn 1981, with a crowd of like-minded friends I found there. Very family friendly, almost no perverts (2 in 200 days) and we scared them off pretty quickly. The public beach north of the unclad beach, up to the township, was almost deserted, but from the unclad sign to the point, it was hard to find a small stretch of sand. My one Happy Place in Australia.

It is a magic beach. Very easy to get to. Spectacular scenery. Safe and clean. Very comfortable as a couple to the north of the stairs. Plenty of parking. Great spot even if you don’t go totally nude.

I have been going to Maslins for 6 years, on and off... I just love it! As the first beach in Australia to legally be able to be 'unclad', there is nothing like swimming naked in the ocean. about a third of this beach at the Gull Rock end is an unclad area. The other end is absolutely perfect for families and those who just love their beach days.

Always a regular there.
So far this year July 2022, I’ve seen Southern Right Whales on three separate occasions, close to the shore!
Which other beach 40 minutes from a major city can boast that?
Named Australia’s 6 th best beach!

It’s hard to believe that such a pristine and breathtakingly beautiful beach, often with groups of dolphins swimming or surfing, and occasionally Humpback whales frolicking in the sea, could exist a mere 40 minutes from Adelaide, one of our capital cities.
Voted sixth best beach in Australia……I can see why!

With delightful surroundings and clean, crystal clear oceans, this is a pristine environment to be naked in nature

We are a male/female couple and enjoyed a full day of nude swimming, sunbathing and exploring the beach.

The nude beach has its own car park with steep step access and a toliet block near the beach.

We saw a few other couples and singles. Mainly locals who were friendly and spoke to us for a while.

If you’ve never been to a nude beach, this is a great opportunity. Spacious area and safe, without any unwelcome attention. There’s a clear sign to delineate nude vs ‘normal’ beach area.

Only surprise was emerging from the ocean and finding 3 fully clothed female walkers strolling deep into the nude area. It was surreal having them first of all state and then engage me in friendly conversations and one asked if I could be in a group photo ;) very odd but funny!

All in all, a lively experience. Well recommended

The 1st official nudist beach in Australia (good on ya SA). The stark cliffs and curving bay make this a unique beach. Clearly signed 'nude' bathing areas, and plenty of space for 'non-nude' beach-goers. Definitely worth a look! An easy drive from Adelaide, and accessible by Metro too.
