This park is wonderful because it is truly wild. There are excellent hiking and biking trails, however, there are tons of places to explore off trail. One of our favorite things to do is hike the beach to Waugoshance Point and skip stones and write...More

We campmed there on Memorial weekend and found the park to be very nice. The bathrooms were clean and there were a ton of mountain bike trails nearby. It's not too far from Mackinaw City and the Island. I would strongly recommend. One thing, if...More

We stopped in the off season and found the campground to still be pretty full. They are in the process of updating and modernizing the facilities. Some campsites have short trails to the waterfront. The campground is also very close to Mackinaw City and the...More

We came after Sept 1 so dogs were allowed on the beach. Beautiful view of the mighty mac and 2 lighthouses. Also saw two freighters go by. Relaxing and had the beach almost to ourselves.

We camped at this park for 2 nights. Our site was #69 and we were steps from the sandy beach with it's lovely sunsets. The campsites are a bit tight and you have to watch for the trees when you back your trailer in. All...More
