Let's start with the good things: The slides are tons of fun, good for every age and you can choose between mild or crazy. They have also a wave simulator you can use with a board and surf. That's really awesome. Waiting times were reasonable. Even though we've been there at presidents day. The negative things: The noise level is... More

Having water park in separate building from guest rooms is somewhat inconvenient, in that you have to dress to walk around outside and then change at the park. Locatin of this resort means you either have to make all purchases there at high prices, or be prepared for a lengthy car ride to stores and restaurants. Hotel rooms and water... More

This is a decent way to spend time when not on the slopes, but it pales in comparison to places like Kalahari in Sandusky. If you are only going to Boyne to experience Avalanche Bay, then I would suggest going elsewhere.

I had been wanting to take my kids here for awhile as I have heard many good things. We had an amazing experience and my kids really enjoyed it. They have different thing you can do including the lazy river. They have smaller waterslides for younger kids. There is an area where you can get some lunch and snacks if... More

We took 4 kids (ages 10, 12, 15, 15) and they loved it. Plenty for them to do and felt safe letting them just go play. We even played and relaxed in hot tub. The power went out due to weather conditions and the employees reacted quickly and effectively. Everyone's safety was first and foremost. To top it off they... More

We come up to Boyne each year and usually go to Avalanche Bay, though as my sons are getting older, finding they are less interested. Prices are pretty high if the kids aren't into it. I think it was $42 per person for any kids over 10 (maybe $30 for 10 and younger?). Went on a Thursday early afternoon, was... More

I have been coming to this water park twice a year since they opened. Some improvements, but mostly the same old, same old. This time we decided to stay in Mountain lodge. Again disappointed. Let me begin. Booked a non refundable rate over a month ago. When it started storming on the weekend we were going, I called and tried... More
