This drawbridge is very interesting. I go and visit as often as I can. I wish I lived in Woods Hole. I love it.

Beautiful water, boats and bridge. Fun to watch and see the boats pass by. It's not often to see such a small drawbridge these days. It was such a treat - if you are in the area take the time to view it.

The drawbridge opens periodically to allow boats to pass between Eel Pond and Vineyard Sound. Obviously, you will be able to see the drawbridge in operation during the boating season. It is fun to see once or twice, but it's just a drawbridge.

While driving around Falmuth/Woods Hole, we were the first car stopped by the bridge when it opened up. I had never seen a bridge do this so it was a nice sight to see during our visit. An interesting sight to see!

Whilst driving around looking for a long term car park (failed btw) we had to stop whilst the drawbridge was raised. Expecting a large boat, imagine our surprise when it turned out to be a two man boat with a large mast! If I had that boat I would be going backwards and forwards several times a day just for... You'll love to watch this open up for the large sailboats to come in or to start their journey out to sea. Make sure to be standing on the sidewalk as it comes down..... you'll definitely feel it. Kids love to just sit and watch it, and want to come back over and over.....

We saw it down and we saw it raised. It is pretty small as these things go. There are more picturesque and impressive ones in Peggy's Cove or Mystic.
