We like to use the Steamship all tbe time. Lots of boats, running all time. We can take our car or motorcycle over for drives around the island.

Easy process, both ways coming and going. Rode both the full size and the smaller ferry's. The full size has a bar and grill up top. on that one there is plenty of room up top for viewing and seating. The smaller ferry not much. Overall a nice trip.

The Steamship Authority ferries are my favorite way to escape to the Islands. Their boats a beautiful, and clean. I am always impressed how nice and helpful the people directing traffic are. We arrived early for our boat and the promptly got us on the next available boat without us even having to ask. It's a fair smooth ride over... More

Then take the ferry from Woods Hole! This team is very efficient and run ferries like clockwork from 6:00 am to 9:45 at night. They go to both Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Enjoy a beer and some excellent chowder from the kitchen while on board! Fast, fun, and efficient!!

I have used this service many times but this labor day weekend showed me how incredible they are. We left MV early as a result of tropical storm Hermine and I left my cellphone on a shuttlebus at the Thomas Landers lot. I immediately informed the lot attendant who made a call or two and said they would let me... More

The whole point of our trip was to go over from the Vineyard where we were staying to visit Nantucket. With the bad weather coming, I spoke with a very kind woman Friday morning, Sept, 2, to see if we could change our Sunday tickets to Nantucket to Saturday. She was very helpful, and we were able to make the... More

I have traveled to Martha's Vineyard many ways but this is still the best way to go. Unlike other services, this is authentic to the Island and it connects you to its culture.

We took the early ride out to MV, and the last one back to WH at 9:30pm. We had beautiful weather & smooth sailing. Nice ship inside and out.

We took the ferry to and from Martha's Vineyard today and couldn't have been happier with the ride in both directions. but THAT'S not why I'm writing this review. About half way through our day, I realized that I'd lost my wallet and I had no idea where I might have lost it. We were bike riding all over the... More
