Our group of four children (ages 6, 8, 10 and 11) and four adults enjoyed an extraordinary experience on the OceanQuest Hands On Discovery cruise. We all learned something new and interesting about the condition of the ocean and the special creatures that live there. All of the kids were intimately involved with every aspect of the trip and especially... More

We were just taking a walk through Woods Hole when came about a young woman with a tank full of sea creatures. She was talking people through what the creatures were and we found her fascinating. Young children were clambering around trying to take a peek into the tank. My sister and I even had a head massage by a... More

Just returned from a morning trip. What a great journey! Everyone with the company was friendly and helpful, from parking help to biological explanations. There were sea critters to touch before we even boarded the boat. On board, my 8 & 5 year olds learned some boating terms and had a chance to hold all sorts of aquatic animals --... More

I work at one of the institutions in Woods Hole and never considered this tour until my sister in law from out of town, mentioned that we should try it. This was an excellent 90 minute tour of marine critters and the basic biology our local waters. The instructors were very knowledgeable and personable and truly are enthusiastic about what... More

We brought our 2 grandchildren (ages 7 and 5) on what we hoped would be a wonderful adventure. The staff was friendly in greeting us, the captain was very welcoming and the boat clean and well appointed. It was a small group of 4 families and we were paired with one of the two instructors. Our grandchildren were a bit... More

Hello. I was concerned with your review and wanted to let you know that I have shared the review with the teaching staff and we have had a discussion about what happened . We pride ourselves on being interactive and engaging, an "ecotational" experience for the whole group. While I am not sure which of our naturalists was with your... More

We visited in late June and took the Discovery Cruise with a 7yr old, 5 yr old, 4 yr old and 1yr old. All four kids enjoyed the Discovery Cruise. Our naturalist was informative and fun! We all learned so much! The kids are still talking about it!

Every year we like to catch the summer solstice sunset at the beach and when we saw there was a sunset cruise, we signed up and were so glad we did. Our voyage started off with the rescue of a young man who went overboard when the runabout he was operating nearby hit a wake and nearly flipped sending him... More

We just had the best sea experience ever, learning about the ocean and sea creatures on the Ocean Quest boat! The kids got to handle lobsters, spider crabs, starfish, sea sponges, conch, horseshoe crab, and more. We did sea readings, and got to write it all down - so the kids remember! The crew was wonderful, so patient and great... More
