a gorgeous, uncrowded beach - even 4th of July weekend!

This is a beach that is owned by the conservation organization called the Trustees of Reservations - the oldest in the world. One must pay to visit this beach - that pays for the... read more

The drive in to Long Point wildlife refuge is beautiful. A fairly long walk from the very small parking area brings you to a fresh water pond on one side, the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Kids? Stay on the lake side, as the ocean has a steep beach with big shore break. Not really conducive for child's play, although... More

This is a beach that is owned by the conservation organization called the Trustees of Reservations - the oldest in the world. One must pay to visit this beach - that pays for the maintenance of the dunes and bird nesting areas. A yearly membership allows 3 people in free. Be sure to get here early as they limit the... Yeah you have to pay to get in but what do you get? A long stretch of amazing beach with very few people on it. Most people stay by the beach entrance near the ponds. We walked about 5 minutes down the beach and didn't have anyone around us. We were on our honeymoon and this beach is really romantic... More

A fun drive on dirt roads brings you to a really beautiful beach. Good surf for older kids. I consider the surf on this beach easier to manage than South Beach because you're able to touch bottom. The drop off to being over your head quickly makes South Beach surf tougher to manage. Bathrooms are port-o-potties, but clean, all things... More

While visiting the vineyard for a week with my husband and father (in his mid 80's) we went to South Beach 5 days and Long Point 1 day. We enjoyed seeing the differences in these two beautiful beaches but found Long Point, which cost $19 for 3 of us vs. no cost at South Beach not worth the expense. We... More

Just go before 10 am or the really best time is after 2:30. This is for the peak July/August summer times. The best part is that they have a pond for little kids (and I mean little) to splash around in, as well as the ocean beach, but man o' man you gotta get there early or late to get... More

This is a public beach, but access is limited both by its somewhat remote location at the end of a long drive from the main road as well as an admission fee since it is part of the preserved areas maintained by the Trustees of the Reservation. The fee is $10 per car and $3 per person, unless you are... More

It was perfectly situated to the place we rented for the week and although the beach was always busy - it was presented with generous proportions if you do not mind walking a bit to the left one can obtain solitude. The beach is part of the "Trustees of preservation of reservation" can not remember ... kind of an psuedo... More
