This is a classic beach, probably a mile long. Great for walking and very scenic. Go out to the end and walk the breakwater at the mouth of the Bass River. Wonderful and scenic any time of the year.

Great local beach. Dennis has 17 of them. One better than the next. More than a mile of beach here. Friends family young and old. All get along and have 1950s fun. Much. Witter beaches than the west cost where we spend time. There is...More

I've been going to this beach since 1956 and love it. It's about 1.25 miles long and ends at the mouth of Bass River. The breakwater at the river is always a nice walk. Being on the Sound, the water is usually a few degrees...More

Lots of room for parking - there is a fee to park during the summer months, but after Labor Day, no fee. Best time to walk the beach!

West Dennis was my favorite beach at the Cape for years! When I got there this year I was shocked and saddened to see what a disaster it was. The beach was covered in seaweed and dead horseshoe crabs and stunk. I tried to take...More

Good for waves, fun to take your floats in and swim. Fun for kids, sand & waves. Good beach food and ice cream. Playground & bathrooms. Also good after 5, when there is no,parking charge. To watch sunset or just relax.

The beach is a mile long and provides close parking next to the beach which makes it easy for getting out chairs, etc. You can also walk down to the beach to a quiet area next to the small sand dunes. There is a refreshment...More

Nice beach, but a lot of seashells in the sand. All of the services one needs on a beach, including lifeguards and a snack bar. Plenty of seaweed in the water, in the first 5-10feet. but after you pass this mass, it's swimming time. Water...More

Water is so warm at this beach, however, the seaweed has become a nuisance . North side Dennis beaches have almost zero seaweed and calmer waters.
