In very early Colonial days, the focal point of life outside the family was the village Meetinghouse. In it civic meetings were held, issues of the day were debated and social events were celebrated. Stormy town meetings, particularly during the periods of the Revolution and the War of 1812, periodically necessitated major repairs to the Meetinghouse.

Today, the Meetinghouse is the oldest standing public building on Cape Cod and one of the oldest in all New England.

Touch some history. Take the self-guided tour between Memorial Day and Labor Day, 9am to 4pm.
