While spending a weekend on the Vineyard, we had several meals at the bakery. The sandwiches were universally tasty, and the fried seafood was fresh and delicious. Once I caved and purchased an expensive dog cookie for my puppy. He sniffed, but ultimately didn't eat it. I'd recommend a pass unless you know your dog like crunchy biscuits.

Taking the ferry with your car is a very easy easy process everyone makes it so simple. So don't be afraid to take your car to Martha's. There's a snack bar with real food and the rides 45 minutes it's beautiful little pricey $155 to take my SUV over.

We returned to the scene of the crime...18 years ago...my wife and I was looking for a wedding cake. Doris Clark, our planner, recommended the Black Dog bakery in Vineyard Haven. Well as time moved on...it was so good and filling again. Tell you got to go!

We stopped here to get something to eat on the ferry back to Rhode Island and were not disappointed. They also have a large selection of coffee, iced coffee and iced tea. We did not have to wait and the food was made to our specification. I think the prices are on par with anything on any vacation island location.... More

a Wonderful view of the harbour boats, Great time, fun atmosphere, shopped at Black dog bakery & gift shops, while we waited (about 30 min for 2 top) Our Waitress was very friendly & accomandating! Started with a chilled bottle of Sparkling Prosecco with side of OJ for Mimosas… I had a nice big fresh Lobster roll, toasted bun with... More

If we have a chance, we have a sandwich at this Black Dog location just before we leave on the ferry.

We love to stop by the Bakery to grab some fresh baked goods or desserts to bring back to our boat, moored in the Harbor. Great coffee drinks, too!

We have been going to the Vineyard for years and years. We love it there, and always make a stop or two at the Black Dog locations to pick up a tasty bagel or muffin along with an iced coffee as we start our day galavanting about the island. The cafe/bakery down but the ferry terminal in Vineyard Haven can... More

During two separate MV stays this year we patronized the Black Dog bakery. We've bought their muffins a number of times in the past, and both times this year we found the muffins as good as ever...blueberry and cranberry. It can be pretty crowded in the morning during the summer season, but quiets down considerably off-season. There are some Black... More

This bakery is all over MV. Typical bakery/donut shop. The pastries and coffee were good either for breakfast or late morning snack. Also, has a gift shop if you want something with a Black Dog on it for some reason. No complaints if you want a pastry.
