Notre Dame Church is a brilliant example of Rococo Architecture, an impressive place of worship or just to enjoy the beauty. Each stone was purchased from the surplus of the Spanish American War for $1.00 each from the U.S. Government. Secretary of State William Leonard Marcy willed his family's Estate for the site of new parish. Ask for a tour- Margaret Ferrand Office Manager.

If you want to meet a Parish that reaches out to the people of the community, then visit what is now called Saint John Paul II Parish. They are extremely active in providing for those in need in a number of ways. St. Vincent du Paul, made up of volunteers, is available to help those who may have a temporary... More

We stopped by for mass, and just fell in love with this 100 year old church. Built by the French who settled in Southbridge 100 years ago. Beautifully decorated and a fantastic homily by Father Peter.

We went to a service in this church and was stunned when we walked inside. It was built in 1912 and was absolutely beautiful. The carvings, the stations of the cross, the woodwork, every detail was embellished beautifully. A must see.

The church recently celebrated it's 100th anniversary, though the parish is older. The town has recently undergone merging 4 parishes into 1 with this being the main facility. Beautiful inside and out. Presently renovating the original organ for an even better sound.

Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful more cathedral than church building. Grew up & got married here. Very sad that due to finances and parish downsizing / consolidating now part of "shared" parish of three (?) smaller churches.

As much as I am hesitant to say something negative about a church, I am displeased it's being forced to use this one, after the diocese decided there were too many churches in my town and closed all the Catholic Churches expect this one... And now it's a mix of whatever Priest they have on hand and others who are... More

This is my childhood church and while the visits now are mostly for sad occasions, I still feel a joy and wonder at how beautiful it is. The stained glass windows, the arches, the multiple altars and carvings as well as the handpainted stations of the cross are as exquisite as many that I have seen in Europe. I hope... More

We've been to this venue twice and the redecorated meeting / dining/ reception space is charming. Each December the upstairs is the site of the Festival of Giving Trees. One of the days of this multi-day event is designated as Senior Day and a low cost luncheon is available in this space. The consistently good food, low price for seniors... More
