I love the Somerville Theater. It's a wonderful little theater showing releases after they've been out for a couple of weeks as well as indie films and retrospectives. They also have other events/talks here. Come a little early and explore the Museum of Bad Art...More

It was a very hot day and we were staying in Boston for the night with my 12 year old daughter. What to do at the last minute? Go to a movie!!! This was the only theater showing something kid friendly that she hadn't seen....More

Went to see a “holiday” show there a few weeks ago. Great, classic theatre, bar (with reasonable prices) and friendly employees!

Where else can you find a theater with a projectionist, local beer, and ice cream, all at lower prices than the huge chains? Here and Coolidge Corner Theater (they are in the same organization, I believe). Definitely worth going and supporting a local business! Also,...More

We went and saw a popular show on opening night (the show was completely sold out). It was a fun/entertaining time. The theater is small (quaint), they offer limited alcohol choices for sale, they also offer popcorn (yummy) & non-alcoholic beverages. The show started at...More

Vintage theatres are so hard to find. The acoustics for concerts, and the fact that they are the only theater around that can protect 70mm films.. Davis square theater has it all. Beer on tap, great popcorn and great prices $7.00 before 7 daily matinee...More

Love Somerville Theater. Indepently owned. Great popcorn. Beer & wine & ice cream available. Only draw back is the seats could be more comfortable. Don't leave before you visit the Museum of Bad Art in the basement. And live music now and then. Great place....More
