We did this short walk/hike the afternoon after severe thunderstorms. The driving route to get here is not well marked, so follow the directions provided by the Savoy Mountain State Forest campground if you are planning to park in the lot at the entrance to...More

This is a nice place to calm down your busy mind. You can go down near to the falls and can have a nice bath if you like. Better to be cautious on rainy days

Great hike into the chasm that holds the stream and falls. We were in a drought, so not a lot of water, but still enough to be wowed.

We went on a Saturday afternoon and shared the place with only a few people. Area is beautiful. Short walk to falls (not a hike). Driving to the falls, you're on a bumpy, dirt and rock filled road for about 20 minutes.

These are excellent waterfalls, if not the best ones that I've found in New England. I would recommend going down all the way to the bottom to get the best pictures. There are two tiers, with the second (lower) one being picturesque, but I think...More

My husband and I are only occasional hikers, and we tend to go for short hikes with a beautiful view. This hike certainly fit the bill. The hardest part was navigating the long and narrow unpaved road to get to the parking area (we missed...More

Be sure to have sturdy shoes, water shoes best to enjoy the stream at the base of the falls. Is a bit steep so not suitable for all abilities.
