Not a lot of tourists even know about this place. Went to Long Point twice. The fist time, we took a quick ferry ride with FLYERS which was lots of fun. We explored the historic lighthouse and monument to the soldier, watched the seals playing...More

Long Point Lighthouse is barely view-able from land or you can walk to it over a strenuous 2.7 mile one-way walk. Get the US Lights app for directions and history.

Well it is quite the hike to get out to the beach but oh so worth it!!! The day we went we had about 5+ whales right offshore that kept coming back to us watching them. What an experience!!

Loved it. Rent a row boat with a motor at lands end and take it out yourself. You'll probably see seals along the way and you can view the larger boats that are parked up close.

Beautiful dune trip at sunset. I have forgotten the name of the providers (there is only one licensed for Provincetown) but it would be well worth finding the providers and taking this tour. See the beautiful, natural part of Provincetown.

As if hiking the breakwater isn't enough (1.2 miles), you've got easily another mile and a half to Long Point Lighthouse. I wasn't expecting it to be open, but hope does spring eternal, does it not? Consider yourself warned: the walk on the sand will...More

We have walked the breakwater (actually it is considered a dyke because it encloses a tidal pool) a few times, but only walked to the tip of Long Point once. It is about 3 miles each way from the street to the tip so be...More

Long Point and Wood End Lighthouses are accessible via Provincetown's Breakwater Rock Passage, which is a sometimes treacherous path over huge, uneven boulders. The path is over a mile long, and it took us about an hour to reach land. The rocks are solidly in...More

It is a long distance to Long Point from Provincetown Harbor; I may have been there during high tide, but it didn't look walkable to me out to the island. I took the shuttle for $15 round trip.

If you stand on a bayside beach (anywhere right off commercial and look out across the water to the lighthouse about a mile to mile and a half away, that's Long Point. You get there by kayak, small ferry boat (ferries leave... More
