The Visitor Center is a National Park operated by the Department of Interior and commands some of the most beautiful views of sand dunes and the ocean. It has an overlook area, well kept rest rooms and a nice bookstore and shop to buy a remembrance. This is a favorite spot for bike riders with all kinds of trails and... More

This is a great spot to spend about an hour to learn about the flora and fauna. There is a little movie theater which offers a film about the cape. Climb up to the second story to get a great view of the ocean. I have even had the greatest luck seeing whales breach up during one of my many... More

The Province Lands Visitor Center is terrific. Besides being centrally located so that you can park your car and walk to Race Point, to Beech Forest, and to the bird sanctuary in the woods, the place itself has good books and maps to buy, as well as T-shirts and children's items. Every day they show films. Try the one call... More

The big attraction of this visitors' center is the 360-degree view from the upper floor. (There is an outside deck, but there are also windows for viewing on bad-weather days.) I am not sure whether this deck is accessible to all; we used a spiral staircase. The staff is helpful and efficient, the building is very clean and spiffy, and... More

Rent a bicycle from the bicycle stores in town and set out through the Province Lands bike trails. You can take your time or go more quickly--the trails are well-paved and give a nice workout.

I almost always stop at the visitor centers when traveling because sometimes they will tell you of a fantastic out of the way place to go. They had several films playing about the Cape, had a good detailed map, as well as giving you 10 things to do while there. Go upstairs and get a great view of the ocean,... More

We stoped here because we had questions about the Lifesaving Station house. Tthe staff were very helpfull in answering questions, there was a small brief area that told of the Province Lands, gift shop & touch area with sea life to explore. The bathrooms were well kept and clean as well. The real gem here is tge winding staircase that... More

It's a great place, with great views, several small films to watch; and they will answer your questions on birds, sea life, things to do, places to walk etc.

This is similar to the Visitor Center in Eastham, but a nice place to stop and get out of the Commercial Str. crowds in P-town. Nice views and history of land.
