Interesting exploration of early lifesaving techniques around the Cape. I enjoyed the domestic side of the museum, where we got to see where the men at the lifesaving station lived while on duty.

Part of the National Parks, the old U.S. Coast Guard station, tells the history of how the Coast Guard evolved into what it is now. Plaques tell the story of how ships in distress were saved a hundred years ago. The setting makes for some...More

Very small museum on the beach. Nice older gentleman at the door gives you a synopsis of the lifesaving station before you walk through.

The re-enactments at this true-life lifesaving station are wonderful. What a dangerous and difficult life these men must have endured so that others would not perish at sea. The station itself is very nice to walk through to see the living conditions during that period...More
