The lifesaving station has such a great history! What an amazing tribute to Cape Code families who have had a brave soul risk his/her own life for another's.

Wonderful stories of shipwrecks and rescues with boats and equipment still on site, but not necessarily something very young children would enjoy. Park service does a great job with presentations!

A rather decrepit looking building that you reach along a partly covered boardwalk. Beach is nice though and there are good toilets at the nearby VC

We took the tour here to view the displays of life-saving boats and equipment. The station is open to walk through and there are three floors with officer and enlisted mens' quarters. There are scheduled demonstrations on the use of the breeches buoy.

Worth the bike trip or get there by car. Seeing the lifesaving station lets you feel back in time where people took great risks to help save mariners from drowning.
